Bought three queens with 21 - 40 workers and when they arrived at first I though they had all died and white mold had taken over but then I was positively surprised to find out that the "mold" was just a humongous brood pile! The colony definitively also has way more then the specified amount of workers. All a testament to great care for the ants. Very satisficed with both the service and quality of products. 10/10 would recommend.

Description
Description:
This is an invasive species in warmer parts of the world but harmless in Poland. These exotic, beautiful, black creatures form colonies that can have hundreds of queens and tens of thousands of workers. In nature or in greenhouses, they feed on nectar from flowers. Due to their small size and calm behavior, even a huge colony of these ants does not require a large nest or arena; a larger test tube or a food box will be sufficient.
Floricola ants are one of the easiest species to keep alive, thriving in various levels of humidity and in any living conditions. They are not picky eaters but consume a considerable amount of food, especially considering their tiny size. They are not bothered by daylight and are not afraid of drafts.
These ants multiply queens as well as workers, and their numbers increase over time, making a truly impressive sight. Queens often venture onto the arena, and some even prefer to live there. The colony can be reproduced through budding, where taking queens and workers from one colony results in the formation of another.
Queens in our store are NOT imported from abroad. We breed them ourselves in our own facility, which is focused on continuous production of new queens.
NOTE! The ants are very small and require a very tight nest and an equally tight arena.
