Description
Description:
Camponotus sylvaticus is an easy, beautifully colored, and fairly large ant species with a soldier caste. Its development is noticeably faster than that of Polish Camponotus species. The workers vary in size, shape, and color, and they also perform different functions inside and outside the nest. The majors are beautifully colored, with much more red than the other workers. These ants are fast and quite aggressive, highly active outside the nest. They capture their prey with their enormous mandibles and spray it with acid, then carry it back to the nest and dismember it.
