Description

Description:

This highly desirable ant species possesses several features that create the perfect combination. Large size, beautiful colors, soldier caste, absence of hibernation, and fast development (even super fast for the Camponotus genus!). Additionally, they thrive in wooden nests, which look much more aesthetically pleasing in a home compared to plastic nests. All these characteristics make this species an ideal mid-range option for both beginner and experienced ant keepers.

The species is found in Southeast Asia, with their colonies reaching several thousand workers. The ants are active around the clock. They primarily establish nests in decaying wood and bamboo stems. Queens measure 11-12 mm, while workers range from 6-12 mm, making them considerably larger than most Polish ant species.

Noa

Bought a single queen that arrived really healthy looking. When I got her I also saw that 2 workers had emerged and that they have some really big larvae! Very satisfied with everything. 10/10 would recommend.
