Description
Description:
Until recently, they were mistakenly identified as Camponotus turkestanus in Poland. Beautiful, sizable ants with a soldier caste, they do not require hibernation. Due to their stunning appearance, they make a great impression on guests, even those who do not like ants. They have a relatively fast development compared to other Camponotus species, and under favorable conditions, they can reach up to 200 workers in a year. Solitary queens sometimes pose a bit of a challenge, but with around 10 workers, the colony becomes extremely easy to manage.
