Description
This acrylic nest features a 10x9x3cm (3.94x3.54x1.18 inches) cork insert. The cork is deeply hollowed to accommodate even the largest ant species such as Camponotus sp. Additionally, the chambers are designed to allow ants to expand their nesting space as the colony grows.
The nest includes two 10mm (0.39 inches) openings on opposite sides for tube connections and a hole for a needle to facilitate watering.
Elastic band version: Ideal for species larger than Monomorium pharaonis and other popular Monomorium species. This version allows you to remove and replace the cork or clean the acrylic as needed.
Glued version: Tested with the smallest species such as Monomorium pharaonis and Monomorium floricola, this version is very airtight and has a better visual appearance. The downside is that it cannot be disassembled. This version also includes a rubber seal for the watering hole to ensure maximum tightness.
