Modular 3D Nest 10x10 - Honeycomb

Introducing the modular nest in the Honeycomb version, with a design based on our bestselling acrylic nest of the same name. We are bringing proven solutions, loved by ants, to the world of 3D printing!

As you can see in the second picture, the chambers are very well thought out. Although the nest has a compact size of 10x10 cm, the path that ants must travel to get from one entrance to another is a full 20 centimeters. This provides a large usable area in a small space.

Note: The first two photos show the offered nest in the Honeycomb version. The following photos present the possibilities of our modular connection system and may show other nests from this series.

The nest has four holes that can be used to connect with other nests, outworlds, or modular accessories using the included plastic connectors and screws. Importantly, there is nothing to stop you from bypassing our modular system and using the nest like any other, connecting it with standard 8 mm diameter tubing. The fastening system is really solid.

Additionally, the nests are equipped with 2 holes where you can insert a waterer, a plug, connectors for another module, or other accessories. For a tighter seal, everything can be fastened with 2 screws available in the kit - although the system is very strong even without them.

The nest is enclosed with plexiglass secured by screws requiring a 1.5 mm Allen key. Leak tests have confirmed that the nest is escape-proof even for species as small as Monomorium pharaonis, Monomorium chinense, and Monomorium floricola. We are confident that ants cannot squeeze between the plexiglass and the printed structure. However, if an escape occurs and is documented, we will refund 100% of the nest's value (the guarantee does not cover mechanical damage).

A full color palette, familiar to you from our other products, is available for the nests. The color can be selected in the menu next to the price. In extreme cases, if a particular color is unavailable, the delivery time may be extended by 3 to 5 working days.
