Description

A mixture available in four variants: approximately 5ml, 12ml, 50ml, and 100ml. It works great for Messor barbarus and other seed-eating ants.

 

Based on my experience:

5ml -> sufficient for a small colony for at least six months

12ml -> sufficient for a medium-sized colony (50 workers) for approximately six months

50ml -> sufficient for a large colony (several hundred workers) for at least six months

100ml -> suitable for colonies approaching a thousand workers

 

Currently, the best mixture on the market, incomparable to the "mixtures" of two or three seed species found in other stores. This blend consists of over 15 different seeds and has been tested on hundreds of colonies ranging in size from a few workers to several thousand. Each colony has different preferences, so it is important for proper and rapid development to provide our ants with a rich diet. The composition and mixing are done by a respected hobbyist specializing in the Messor genus. I have not encountered a colony that was not delighted :)

- canary grass seed

- common agrimony seeds

- sorghum seed

- various grass seeds

- white millet

- yellow millet

- milk thistle seed

- amaranth

- flaxseed

 

PS For the 5ml and 12ml variants, I send them in new test tubes that can later be used for keeping ants. For the 50ml and 100ml variants, I send them in various containers, which may have scratches or be slightly deformed, but they are always sterile.
