Description
The ant-keeping community's favorite acrylic nest for years – model Honeycomb. If you are tired of poorly designed nests with only one or two entrances, partitions that force you to dismantle the nest, hydration accessible only from a single zone or nests without separate zones at all, this product is sure to satisfy you. It was designed from the ground up with the well-being of ants and the convenience of keepers in mind.
Acrylic nest 20x20 cm.
1. One entrance on each side, totaling 4 entrances.
2. As many as 5 separate zones of varying sizes – allowing you to gradually expand the nest without stressing the colony. No cork partitions or other inconvenient workarounds :)
3. Every zone has direct access to the hydration system.
4. Multiple ant species can inhabit the nest simultaneously, even up to 4 at once.
5. Ventilation is integrated seamlessly into the chamber pattern – right where it is needed most.
6. Passageways between chambers form a labyrinth: ants cannot simply move in random directions, and entering from the right side to exit at the top requires establishing an intriguing trail.
7. As an ant enthusiast who knows their escaping talent, the entrances are snugly fitted for 8 mm vinyl tubing and require firm pressure to insert. There is zero chance of tubing accidentally slipping out or even the smallest worker squeezing through.
PS The nest has recently been upgraded: passageways between chambers are slightly wider so that larger species like Camponotus ligniperda can move freely.
