The "Isopod Fanatic" Kit is a professional setup prepared by experienced keepers, perfect for both beginners and advanced enthusiasts.

What's in the kit?

New, Improved Bioactive Substrate: Our new mix is based on high-quality, very expensive vermicompost with an admixture of rotten wood and leaves. It is a ready-to-use, nutrient-rich environment for your isopods.
Complete Set of Foods: A variety of food (depending on the variant), which provides all necessary nutrients, including protein and calcium.
Natural Decorations and Hides: Elements such as bark, leaves, or moss, creating an ideal microhabitat.
Clean-up Crew: We add springtails to the substrate to help maintain cleanliness and prevent mold growth (see: important information).

Important information and notes:

Substrate quality: Our substrate is a living, natural product based on high-quality vermicompost. This means that other, harmless microorganisms may occasionally be present. We strive to avoid this, but it is proof of the biological activity and richness of the substrate.
Springtail guarantee: We add a portion of springtails directly to the substrate in each kit. We do our best to ensure they arrive alive, but transport conditions can sometimes be difficult. We are very keen on maintaining the extremely low price of our kits (unchanged for over 2 years, despite inflation!), which is why we inform you that the free springtails added to the kit are not covered by a guarantee.
(*) Box availability: The Medium and Large size boxes have built-in ventilation in the form of several dozen holes in the lid, sufficient for all isopod species. Sometimes certain box sizes may be temporarily unavailable - in such a case, we reserve the right to send a kit in a box of a slightly different (usually larger) capacity.
(**) Food type: Sometimes, instead of sticks, we send food in the form of pellets with the same or a very similar composition. This depends on which product we currently have a better wholesale offer for.

A fantastic set that covers pretty much everything your isopods could ever wish for! I went with the large deluxe version. The provided substrate (which can be further enhanced with other items sold here such as flake soil, charchoal, calcium etc.) is suitable for most species and is bioactive from the get-go. I was impressed with the quantity and variety of the food and supplements, your colonies are definitely in for a treat! A few pieces of corkbark, cuttlefish bones and a bit of leaf litter round everything up and the provided enclosures are fine as well. Buying this set is a no-brainer to get your colonies going for a great price.
