Description:
Formica lemani is a rarer, mountain version of Formica fusca, but even more shiny with brown legs. These ants are gentle and avoid conflict, and just like fusca, they often fall victim to slave-making. The colonies often have tens of queens and thousands of workers. They nest on exposed clearings, usually under stones.

- Recommended formicarium: preferably made of soil-based, but they can handle anything
