Description

Slightly larger, gray springtails. We have not identified the species. We have been breeding them in containers with isopods. To start your own breeding, a few dozen individuals will suffice. However, if you want to immediately utilize them as a cleanup crew, consider getting a larger package. Breeding them is incredibly easy - just a container with any moist substrate and something organic for them to feed on. You can use charcoal, soil, moss, peat, leaves, cotton, literally anything. They can be fed with insect leftovers or any food you use for your other pets. Dog or cat food, roach exoskeletons, fish flakes, anything that was once alive. Mold doesn't bother them, unless it's in really large quantities. Ventilation is usually not necessary.

To keep the price as low as possible, we ship them in whatever is available, such as a small drawstring bag with a bit of soil, a syringe with a few leaves, or a 250ml container.

There may be harmless mites among them - saprophages, which is completely normal in springtail breeding and eventually occurs in most households and breeding setups. Various other microorganisms may also be present, which are commonly found in homes and breeding environments.
