Description

Porcellio laevis is the perfect beginner isopod and an excellent cleaning crew. They are affordable, easy to breed, and can thrive in various conditions. They prefer humidity around 60-70% and temperatures between 18 and 24°C (64.4-75.2°F), but they can tolerate higher and lower temperatures. They reach sexual maturity and start reproducing rapidly about 6-8 months after birth. They are quite active and constantly visible on the surface. The wild form of laevis is cosmopolitan.
