Onychiurinae sp. "Snowflakes" are very unique springtails. This cosmopolitan species, small in size (1–2 mm), can breathe life into any terrarium. Although almost microscopic, their presence is crucial for the microecosystem.

Excellent Choice for Beginners

These springtails are easy to keep, resilient, and undemanding, making them an excellent choice for beginner keepers. Under suitable conditions:

Egg incubation takes 7 to 10 days.
Young reach maturity in just 2–3 weeks.

Keeping Conditions:

Temperature: Optimal range is 10–26°C.
Humidity: Should be consistently high (substrate slightly damp to moist).
Species Characteristics: Onychiurinae 'Snowflakes' do not jump, which makes their control and care easier.
Ventilation: Can be limited – airing the container once a week is sufficient to maintain a balance between fresh air and humidity.
