Description
Ceratophysella sp. Yellow Albino - Active Springtails with Unique Coloring
Ceratophysella sp. Yellow Albino is a unique springtail variety, likely originating from North America and isolated from the Ceratophysella sp. 'Lilac' line. Despite their small size, they stand out due to their high activity and attractive, bright yellow coloration, which presents beautifully.
Rapid Reproduction
Under favorable conditions, this variety reproduces rapidly. Eggs incubate very quickly, and young individuals reach sexual maturity within just 2–3 weeks.
Keeping Conditions
This species is relatively easy to keep and prefers the following conditions:
- Temperature: From 15°C to 28°C.
- Humidity: Varied - they thrive in both slightly damp and more saturated substrates.
- Ventilation: Minimal; opening the culture container once a week for air exchange is sufficient.
Behavior and Role in the Ecosystem
Their ability to jump makes them extremely mobile and alert. At the same time, they perfectly fulfill the role of a natural "cleaning crew" in the terrarium, effectively decomposing organic debris and contributing to maintaining a healthy microenvironment.
