Description

Our acrylic arena, measuring 10x10x8 cm (3.94x3.94x3.15 inches), features our company logo, which also serves as ventilation. Upon opening the lid, a wide 3 cm (1.18 inches) rim appears, which can be dusted with talcum powder or another anti-escape agent. There are 2 available options: with elastic bands (allowing easy disassembly and cleaning) and glued (providing greater tightness and an aesthetic look). The arena has 2 openings for connecting a 10 mm (0.39 inches) diameter tube, stoppers for the openings, ergonomic handles, and additional ventilation in each corner. The height of the arena, width of the rim, placement of ventilation and handles, and the convenient, perfectly fitting cover have all been designed to ensure maximum comfort for both ant observation and arena use.

How to Choose the Right Option?

If your ants are larger, such as Pharaoh ants, Temnothorax, or similar, we recommend the elastic band option. These ants are unlikely to escape, and you can easily disassemble the arena for cleaning or applying a new barrier.

If your ants are smaller, like Floricola, Chinense, or Obscurior, we suggest the glued option. It is a bit more demanding to use but provides much better tightness. In our tests with the 3 mentioned ant species, only a few of the smallest workers from a Floricola colony escaped through the logo ventilation.

We do not offer an anti-escape guarantee, but currently, these are likely the only arenas available on the market that combine very high tightness, ease of use, and aesthetic appearance.
