The main photo is for illustrative purposes and shows the entire breeding kit. The item for purchase on this page is pure microbiological agar in the weight selected above (10 g, 50 g or 250 g).
- 10 g – enough to prepare approx. 80 small Petri dishes (55 mm).
- 50 g – efficient portion for approx. 400 small dishes.
- 250 g – large supply for advanced breeding and laboratories for thousands of dishes.
Agar provides an ideal, neutral gelling substrate, necessary to maintain optimal humidity during slime mold breeding (e.g. Physarum polycephalum / Badhamia polycephala).
