Description
Tropical isopods ideal for those seeking an easy and effective cleanup crew for their vivarium. Perfect for keeping small lizards or dart frogs - they serve as a food source while keeping the enclosure clean. Optimal substrate should be consistently moist with the addition of dry leaves and decaying wood, but they are such an easy species to keep that they could probably thrive even in a container with paper towels. These isopods reproduce without males (parthenogenesis) and play dead when disturbed.
