Description
Tropical isopods that are ideal for those seeking an easy and effective cleaning crew for their vivarium. They are effective in maintaining cleanliness and serving as a food source for small lizards or tree frogs. Optimal substrate should be consistently moist with the addition of dry leaves and decaying matter, but they are such an easy species to maintain that they could probably be kept in a container with toilet paper. These isopods reproduce without the involvement of males (parthenogenesis) and will play dead when startled.
