Description
Sold specimens are approximately 3-5cm (1.18-1.97 in).
This species, commonly known as the Thai Rainbow Millipede, attracts attention with its beautiful and unusual coloration. In the wild, they are found in Thailand and Myanmar. They feed on dead organic matter and forest litter; in captivity, this consists of a mix of soil with leaves, wood rot, and calcium. Additionally, it is beneficial to provide juicy fruits or vegetables and protein such as gammarus. They are easy to care for, making them ideal for beginners in this hobby. When disturbed, they secrete a liquid to deter predators. They are nocturnal but are often seen on the surface. It is recommended to provide a substrate depth equal to the millipede's length to ensure proper molting and reproduction. They grow up to about 8cm (3.15 inches) in body length. Completely harmless and beneficial arthropods, they can be successfully kept in a terrarium or vivarium.
