Description
Pterinochilus murinus RCF (Red Color Form, known as “OBT – Orange Baboon Tarantula”) – an extremely popular terrestrial and burrowing tarantula originating from Africa. It reaches about 5–6 cm in body length, and over 12–14 cm with leg span. Its characteristic intensely orange coloration makes it one of the most recognizable species in the terrarium hobby. Very fast, extremely defensive, and strongly venomous – not recommended for beginner keepers. It leads a terrestrial lifestyle, actively burrows, and produces heavy webbing throughout the terrarium. It requires dry substrate, good ventilation, and plenty of hiding spots.
