Terrarium
- Size: The terrarium should be at least three times the height of an adult mantis and twice as wide. For Miomantis paykullii, a terrarium measuring approximately 20x20x30 cm is suitable.
- Ventilation: Ensure the terrarium has good ventilation to prevent mold and rot.
- Substrate: You can use coconut fiber, peat, or paper towels as the substrate. The substrate should be slightly moist but not wet.
Temperature and humidity
- Temperature: The optimal temperature for Miomantis paykullii is around 22-28°C (72-82°F). At night, the temperature can drop slightly but should not be lower than 18°C (64°F).
