      Description

      Ventilation purpose: The ventilation is specifically designed for installation on the side of a box or container, which can be used for breeding isopods (pill bugs, woodlice) or other small invertebrates.

      Installation instructions:

      Preparing the hole: First, prepare a hole with a diameter of 35 mm (approx. 1.38 in). You can use a precision knife or a hole saw to make the hole.

      Installing the ventilation: After cutting the hole, insert the ventilation base from the inside of the box. Then, from the outside, place and tighten the retaining ring, which firmly stabilizes the ventilation in place.

      Insect protection: The ventilation provides a tight seal, preventing unwanted insects such as:

      • flies,
      • fruit flies (and other small flying insects),
      • other tiny pests that could harm the organisms being bred or the environment inside the box.

      Ventilation dimensions: The mesh has a diameter of 30 mm (approx. 1.18 in), ensuring adequate air circulation while reliably protecting against insects. The total ventilation size (external) is 40 mm (approx. 1.57 in), ensuring a stable fit into the hole.

      Color palette: The ventilation is available in various colors, allowing you to match its appearance to your aesthetic preferences or the box's color. Thanks to these features, the ventilation is functional, easy to install, and visually appealing, providing optimal conditions for breeding isopods in a controlled environment.

      You need to be careful while handling these ventilation covers, mine were kinda brittle. The "net" of one cover unfortunately broke, but I spanned some chiffon over it and it is as good as new.
